Daryl Morey, general manager for the Houston Rockets NBA basketball team, appears to be a bitcoin bull after publishing a tweet on Aug. 23.
Rockets GM Bullish on Bitcoin
Morey was replying to a comment by Morgan Creek Digital Assets co-founder Anthony “Pomp” Pompliano, who is one of the most vocal and bullish supporters of BTC.
Pomp was taking aim at a tweet by President Donald Trump, who posed the question “Who is our bigger enemy, Jay Powell or Chairman Xi?” Powell is the current Chair of the Federal Reserve, which has come under fire for its policies in light of what appears to be a looming economic recession.

In response to Pomp’s pro-bitcoin tweet, the Houston Rockets general manager also pitched in his support for cryptocurrency and claimed to have “just bought more” BTC.

Morey’s comment sparked a wave of Twitter activity, with the majority of tweets showing their admiration for the GM’s open support of BTC.
Morey has been the general manager of the Houston Rockets since 2008, winning NBA Executive of the Year in 2018. He has gained renowned for his application of Moneyball-esque advanced statistics to recruitment and team-building in the NBA.
