Pop culture icon Mariah Carey has announced a partnership with digital asset exchange Gemini to boost the adoption of Bitcoin.
According to a recent Instagram post, Carey has partnered with the Winkelvoss-owned Gemini cryptocurrency exchange to promote Bitcoin adoption among girls of color.
In the video attached to her post, Carey told her 10.2 million Instagram followers that they did not to buy a whole bitcoin to invest in BTC and that on Gemini it was possible to start investing in BTC with as little as $5.
She also mentioned that if her fans created a trading account on Gemini using referral code MARIAH, not only would they receive $20 worth of free BTC, but a portion of all future trading fees would go to “Black Girls Code“, a non-profit organization for providing technology education to African-American girls.
Carey also gave a shoutout to Cryptopedia, Gemini’s free crypto education platform.
