Basic attention token (BAT) whales have accumulated nearly six percent of the coin’s supply in less than a week, driving the price into double-digit gains.
According to research published by crypto analytics firm Santiment, BAT’s top ten whales have been in an accumulation mode for the past week. Santiment found that BAT’s top addresses had added 5.94% of the coin’s total circulating supply to their wallets over the past five days.

Santiment also found that the largest non-exchange BAT address underwent its largest accumulation week since July 2017. According to the analytics firm, the top wallet address went from holding 53.63 million BAT to 126.92 million last week, representing an increase of 136.7%.

In addition to BAT, top augur (REP) whales were also active over the same time period. The analytics firm found that the top ten REP whales have been in an accumulation phase, adding 4.51% of the token’s total supply to their wallets over the past two weeks.
