Support CryptoGlobe and Brave by trying out the Brave browser.

The crypto-powered, privacy-focused web browser Brave has surpassed four million daily active users.

According to the most recent update, Brave browser is now averaging 12.2 million monthly active users (MAU), with daily active users over four million. Brave, which utilizes a built-in adblocker and puts an emphasis on user privacy and security, has been gaining popularity over the last year.

Brendan Eich, co-founder and CEO of Brave, said the browser finished 2019 with 11.2 million monthly active users, up from 8.7 MAU in October 2019 and constituting a 28 percent increase. The browser has continued to grow its user base since the end of 2019, experiencing a 14 percent boost in daily active users through the first two months of the year.

Brave, which operates the basic attention token (BAT), allows users to support their favorite web sites with crypto as opposed to being subjected to invasive advertisements. Through the Brave Rewards program, browser users are able to give back to websites they frequent the most. Users can also earn BAT by viewing “privacy-respecting” ads, which can then be used to tip websites and content creators.

According to browser’s official speed test, Brave is capable of loading web pages 3 to 6 times faster than Chrome and Firefox.
