The gregarious and outspoken John McAfee has continued his rant against bitcoin by calling the original cryptocurrency the “true sh*tcoin.”
McAfee, who gained notoriety in the crypto space for his outlandish predictions for the price of BTC, took to Twitter Jan. 29 to promote altcoins at the expense of BTC. McAfee claimed the future of crypto rests with the “alt coins,” while calling bitcoin “old” and “clunky” and lacking network features such as smart contracts and decentralized applications.
Whichever Bitcoin Maximalist came up with the term “Shitcoin” for all other coins;
Was brilliant.
But we all know that the future of Crypto rests with the Alt Coins.

McAfee followed up the tweet by calling bitcoin the “Hotmail” of cryptocurrency.

McAfee, who previously claimed he would eat his own genitals if bitcoin did not reach $1 million by the end of 2020, has scaled back his prediction calling it a “ruse.” Earlier in the month he took to Twitter to attack the original cryptocurrency, claiming his bold price predictions were to attract newcomers to crypto.
McAfee also lauded newer blockchains and cryptos as superior to bitcoin, calling BTC “ancient technology” and comparing the original crypto to the Motel T of automobiles.

A ruse to onboard new users. It worked.
Bitcoin was first. It's an ancient technology. All know it.
Newer blockchains have privacy, smart contracts, distributed apps and more.
