In the Shiba Inu community, a recent announcement has sparked a wave of excitement. Lucie, a key figure in Shiba Inu’s marketing team, has brought to light some crucial information for those who hold the Doge Killer ($LEASH) token.
The Shiba Inu cryptocurrency project, rooted in the popular Shiba Inu dog meme, presents itself as a rival to Dogecoin and runs on the Ethereum blockchain. The Shiba Inu (SHIB) ecosystem comprises three unique tokens, each serving a particular purpose within the project.
SHIB, as the main token, acts as a decentralized, community-driven currency that is accessible to millions of users around the world. Having launched on the Ethereum blockchain in late 2020, SHIB has since gained global attention and can be used for payment at various locations, either directly or through intermediary services.
BONE serves as the governance token in the ecosystem, with a total supply of 250 million. BONE enables the Shib Army to participate in decision-making by voting on proposals through the Doggy DAO. Additionally, BONE establishes the groundwork for Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s own Layer 2 network.
The third token, LEASH, has a limited supply of 107,646 and offers exclusive benefits to dedicated supporters of the ecosystem. LEASH holders have experienced advantages such as increased BONE rewards for providing liquidity to ShibaSwap, exclusive rights to mint Shiboshi NFTs, and priority access to land sales within the “SHIB: The Metaverse project.”
Shibarium, a layer two blockchain, has been developed to overcome Ethereum’s limitations, including slow speeds and high transaction costs. The Shiba Inu project currently has Shibarium in beta testing.
According to the information shared by Lucie, to be a part of some of the most rewarding campaigns in the Shiba Inu community channel, one needs to hold a substantial amount of LEASH and acquire top roles. These roles, akin to badges of honor in Discord servers, are pivotal for those who wish to partake in the upcoming activities within the Shiba Inu ecosystem. The roles that have been spotlighted are “Leash Basic” and “Leash Basic (Staked).” To be eligible for these roles, members need to hold a minimum of 1 LEASH token in their connected wallets.
Lucie has encouraged LEASH holders to become part of the Shibarium Tech Discord server. By connecting their wallets using the CollabLand gateway, they can secure these roles. CollabLand is “a full-service community management tool that curates membership based on tokens.”
However, this announcement has raised a few eyebrows regarding safety, especially considering the recent surge in crypto-related hacking incidents. To address these concerns, Lucie reassured the community about the safety of CollabLand. She emphasized its resistance to hacking attempts, which is why it’s the go-to platform for numerous projects on Discord and Telegram groups. She also shared that hundreds of LEASH holders, including herself, have safely connected their wallets to the website.
