It looks like “really soon” it will be possible for fans of the hugely popular crypto project Shiba Inu ($SHIB) to buy and sell virtual land in the upcoming Shiba metaverse (codenamed “Shiberse”).
According to a blog post published by the Shiba Inu team yesterday, “lands” found inside within the Shiba metaverse will be “available for purchase/auction really soon.” And to make the process of purchasing Shiba land more fair for the community, the team is “working on a queue system, specifically designed for the Shiba Land sales event.” The goal is to help with the “prevention of Bots and Gas Wars.”
The queue system “allows exclusivity by requiring interested parties to hold ‘$LEASH’, which gives priority and exclusive access to this first selling phase of the land plots.” The team will also have “an anti-dump system in order to protect $LEASH holders.” Once the exclusive selling process has finalized, the remaining Shiba land will get unlocked and made available to the public.
Also, as you may remember, on February 2, the Shiba Inu team announced an interesting new partnership in Italy.
According to a tweet by the team, as the result of a new partnership Welly, a burger restaurant in Naples, Italy, has become the world’s first (and so far only) SHIB-themed restaurant.
In a blog post published on February 2, pseudonymous Shiba Inu developer Shytoshi Kusama, said that “ShibArmy is on the march” and since and “all armies must have proper sustenance”, he was happy to announce a new partnership that is significant since it “solidifies Shib’s first step into IRL (in-real-life) projects.”
He went on to say that the Welly team is planning to “release multiple stores in 2022 and 2023.”
Well, on Monday (February 7), the Welly team announced that it was ready to consider franchise applications, which could mean that in the future we will see SHIB-themed Welly restaurants all over the world.
Finally, as CryptoGlobe reported earlier today, according to a blog post by Unification Foundation that was published on February 4, “the second version of Shibarium’s private testnet is live and under optimisation across both teams with plans of a public testnet release to come very soon.”
