The team behind meme-based crypto project Floki Inu ($FLOKI), which is one of the strongest competitors to Dogecoin and Shiba Inu, has entered into a strategic partnership with Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN.
Sauber Motorsport AG is “a Swiss motorsport engineering company” that was “founded in 1970 (as PP Sauber AG) by Peter Sauber, who progressed through hillclimbing and the World Sportscar Championship to reach Formula One in 1993.” In 2019, following a sponsorship deal with Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo, Sauber Motorsport AG “renamed their Formula One racing team to Alfa Romeo Racing after operating it under their own name from 1993 until 2018.”
On 3 January 2020, Insider Sport reported that Alfa Romeo F1 Racing team had announced that “a co-title sponsorship agreement has been reached with Polish petroleum firm ORLEN.” The report went on to say that “as a result of the co-title deal, PKN Orlen’s branding is now set to feature on the team’s C39 car and on all Alfa Romeo official trackside assets.” Furthermore, it mentioned that “the team is now set to compete under the name of Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN as from the start of the upcoming 2020 season.”
On 24 November 201, Sauber Motorsport announced that “Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN will continue one of the most distinctive relationships in the world of Formula One as the team and Polish giant PKN ORLEN extend their title partnership, alongside Alfa Romeo, for a third consecutive year.”
Well, yesterday (February 24), the Floki Inu team announced a strategic partnership with Formula 1 team Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN:
The Floki Inu team then went on to explain what this latest partnership means:
- “#Floki’s distinctive branding will feature on rear end wing plates of both Alfa Romeo Formula 1 Team ORLEN cars for the full 2022 season, with a record 23 rounds from March until November anticipated to reach an incredible 1.5 billion people.“
- “With Guanyu Zhou making his Formula 1 debut in 2022 as the first ever Chinese driver in Formula 1 alongside Valtteri Bottas, this positions #FLOKI for massive exposure to the Chinese audience who will be watching the game just for Zhou.“
Then then gave three reasons for deciding to get into this partnership:
- “Formula 1 is broadcast to 170 territories with an average TV viewership of 87 million per race and cumulative audience of 1.5 billion people.“
- “The season of races spans 22 countries and five continents. Formula 1 is truly a global sport.“
- “This is the first year Formula 1 is anticipated in Miami, which is a key and famously expanding crypto market.“
They also talked about a China connection:
- “Guanyu Zhou is a new, highly anticipated Alfa Romeo team driver from China. His talent will open the Chinese market and attract added attention to the team and #Floki. Zhou’s profile will increase dramatically through the course of the season.“
- “This connection to Guanyu Zhou via this partnership is especially significant for #Floki’s marketing aims, as we will reach a Chinese audience where restrictions mean we can’t promote the project with traditional methods.“
Finally, they mentioned that this sponsorship deal “also includes the Alfa Romeo eSports team.”
And this is how is what Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN had to say about this partnership:
