Tom Brady, an American football player who is a quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL), is widely considered to be a “Greatest of All Time” (GOAT) due to his many amazing record-breaking accomplishments as a quarterback.

Recently, while doing an interview with American sportscaster Jim Gray for episode 5 of satellite radio company SiriusXM podcast “Let’s Go”, which was released on September 20, the NFL GOAT recently revealed that he would consider receiving part of his salary in select cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin ($BTC), Etheruem ($ETH), or Solana ($SOL).

When asked by Gray if we will ever see NFL players asking for salaries to be paid in crypto, Brady replied:

Yeah, it’s [an] interesting topic… I think a few players have requested that. I’d love to request that to get paid in some crypto… to get paid in some Bitcoin, or Ethereum, or Solana tokens.

I think it’s an amazing thing that’s happening in the world with the way the world is becoming more digital… I don’t think we’re ever going back… And I definitely see a world where players are going be paid in cryptocurrencies in the future.

Gray then asked about the TV commercial Brady and his Brazilian supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen did recently for crypto exchange FTX (which they both becomes shareholders of as part of a multi-year partnership with FTX — announced on June 29 — that resulted in Brady becoming an Ambassador for FTX and Gisele taking on the role of FTX’s Environmental & Social Initiatives Advisor).

More specifically, Gray wanted to know if Brady’s teammates and coaches ever talked about the FTX commercial.

Brady replied:

As quarterbacks, we talk about crypto I’d say at least once a day. Everyone’s checking in on what the crypto markets are doing. It’s kind of a fun thing for all of us to talk about. We’re all a little, you know, volatile. Quarterbacks are always measuring risk reward. BA (i.e. Buccaneers Head Coach Bruce Arians) has always said ‘no risk it, no biscuit’… and that trickles back into the quarterback room a little bit too.

Brady also talked about his interest in crypto back in July during another interview with Gray:

We talked about cryptocurrency with the quarterbacks all last season. I mean, literally for last 12 months, we’re talking about Bitcoin, Etheruem, different cryptocurrencies…

It’s fun for us to think that sometimes we’re financial wizards, as well as quarterbacks…
