On Saturday (May 8), during an interview on the “Altcoin Daily” YouTube channel, crypto analyst, trader, and influencer Ben Armstrong gave his short, medium, and long term price predictions for the Ethereum ($ETH) price.
Armstrong, better known as “Bitboy Crypto”, the host of the most popular crypto-focused YouTube channel, made his comments about Ethereum during an interview with Austin Arnold and Aaron Arnold, the co-founders and hosts of the “Altcoin Daily” YouTube channel.
Armstrong said:
“We were a little bit early on calling to $2,500. That took an extra couple of months, but we got there. and now it’s exploded up to $3,500… as of this morning, it was there. It had a little bit a pullback… but it looks like $4,000 is pretty achievable for Ethereum even though Bitcoin is not doing that great…
“I’m looking at by the middle of June a $5,000 Ethereum. I’m looking at by the end of August a $10,000 Ethereum, but I still believe it can get to $27,000… sometime between Halloween and Thanksgiving… I’ll shave my head on New Year’s Day if it doesn’t hit $10,000 by the end of this year.“
Well, earlier today, the Ethereum price did nearly hit $4,000. Data by TradingView indicates that around 07:17 UTC, on crypto exchange Bitstamp, $ETH hit today’s intraday high of $3,985, which is a new all-time high.
Currently (as of 19:47 UTC on May 9), Ethereum is trading around $3,868, which means that ETH-USD is up 2.03% in the past 24-hour period. As for the year-to-date period, ETH-USD is up 424.47%.
Another very popular crypto analyst and influencer who is is highly bullish on Ethereum is Lark Davis, who re-iterated earlier today his belief that the Ethereum price is heading to $10,000.
Davis also had something to say about the amount of Ether locked up in DeFi smart contracts.
According to The Block’s Data Dashboard, Google Trends data shows that search interest for Ethereum is currently at an all-time high.
