The global version of popular South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb has come out of beta and it’s looking to expand to a wider audience with the use of various features.
According to the company’s press release, version 1.0 of Bithumb Global bring various improvements traders will be able to take advantage of, including an “intuitive site UX,” graphical updates, faster transaction speeds, a staking featured, fiat to crypto on-ramps, and additional language support.
Javier Sim, Bithumb Global’s managing director, was quoted as saying:
Bithumb Global aims to bring together and unite all the crypto communities with a fair and transparent platform. Unity is the key here.
The new cryptocurrency exchange is reportedly already seeing a daily trading volume close to the $450 million mark, with USDT to BTC and EOS trading pairs making up for around 50% of its trading volume.
The press release notes the exchange already has one million users trading on its platform. To expand its reach it’s going to start expanding language support, with an initial focus on the Japanese language.
It’s worth noting that earlier this year Bithumb was hacked, as bad actors manage to steal 3 million EOS tokens out of its hot wallet. In 2018, it was hacked for $30 million worth of various cryptocurrencies.
