According to Hollywood Reporter actor Johnny Depp has partnered up with cryptocurrency social entertainment platform TaTaTu to create digital content on the platform. The partnership was organized between TaTatu and Johnny Depp’s production company, Infinitum Nihil. There are no details confirmed yet, but it seems the partnership would allow Depp’s production company to produce exclusive content for the TaTaTu platform.

In this era of democratized entertainment, I admire the imaginative ethos of Andrea and look forward to collaborating together in a liberating, progressive manner that will benefit the principals of our respective entities.

Who are TaTaTu?

TaTaTu calls themselves “Social Entertainment On The Blockchain,” and claims to provide two benefits to the people who create and watch content on their platform. Brands will be able to verify that all video views are authentic, using a blockchain identity verification system. In exchange, users of TaTaTu are rewarded tokens for watching content, and will also receive a share of the advertising revenue as tokens. TaTaTu seems to be competing with YouTube, which has of late come under fire for some of its advertising policies.

The TaTaTu token (TTU) was launched earlier this year after a $575M token sale. At the time, the ICO was the third largest ICO of all time, only falling behind Telegram and EOS. Prominent TTU investors include Ari Paul’s Blocktower Capital, as well as other notable cryptocurrency firms like Polymath Capital and Dragon Investment Limited. In addition to these prominent cryptocurrency firms, a handful of celebrities invested as well. It’s rumored that Prince Felix of Luxembourg and Lady Monika Bacardi (of the Bacardi rum empire) both invested in TTU.

The TTU token is tradeable on HitBTC and can be purchased for $0.13. This represents a 48% drop from its ICO price of $0.25. The TaTaTu app is live and the beta version is now available on the Apple App Store. When you click here to sign up, new users will receive a complimentary airdrop of 50 TTU.
