New data from analytics platform Glassnode seems to suggest that a record number of retail investors have put money into bitcoin, pushing the number of BTC wallets to a new all-time high.

According to a tweet published October 27 by Rafael Schultze-Kraft, chief technology officer at Glassnode, the number of wallets holding $10, $100 and $1000 worth of BTC has reached an all-time high.

Glassnode data shows the number of BTC wallets with at least $10 is now at 17.6 million, with over 3.6 million wallets holding at least $1,000.

Glassnode also published an update earlier in the week showing the number of bitcoin millionaire addresses had crossed 20,000, reaching its highest point since January 2018.

The uptick in wallet addresses is a strong indication that retail investors are flocking to bitcoin. Last week, payments platform PayPal announced support for bitcoin and other top crypto-assets, driving the price of BTC to a 2020 high.

Popular crypto trading analyst Peter Brandt was also bullish on bitcoin’s outlook, publishing an update last week claiming BTC was on pace to close the month on its second-highest level ever.
